Description

People within Infrastructure Outsourcing are responsible for the day-to-day provision of long-term outsourcing services to one or several clients. Infrastructure Outsourcing (IO) is the ongoing management and/or improvement of activities related to a part or to the whole of a technical infrastructure (e.g. information systems, security systems, telecommunications networks), allowing companies to focus on their core business and competencies.

The Windows System Administrator is primarily responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the transition of STP Windows based entities into the ITC Datacenter's next generation environment. They must possess general experience in operating and supporting large-scale computer systems in a multi-server environment.

This individual is also responsible for, after successful transition into the datacenter, supervising, managing the daily activities of configuration, maintenance, patching, updating and troubleshooting the operational systems.
•They will work on optimizing physical and virtual systems and resource utilization, while continuing to provide system capacity analysis and planning
•Designs and administers programs to include policies, standards, guidelines, training programs, and a viable quality assurance process for disaster recovery.
•Use of Altiris for provisioning Windows and ESX Operating systems
•Oversees and reviews the testing and implementation of software, data systems, and data networks to ensure that the integrity and security of all electronic data and data systems are adequately protected.
•Assists in the coordination and establishment of disaster recovery programs and business resumption planning across mainframe and client server platforms.
•Coordinates and monitors simulation testing across all platforms.
•Plan and execute the installation and configuration of Windows and ESX Systems into the client's Datacenter, configure, optimize, monitor, operate and maintain systems.
•Plan and execute patches, IAVAs, Taskings and Advisories and troubleshooting problems
•Some overtime (including nights, weekends, holidays)
•Pager duty required to support on-call escalation procedure
Qualifications
•TS/SCI clearance
•Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Computer or Engineering related field
•5 years of experience managing Windows and Windows clustered environments
•3 yrs experience adding and remove systems from Active Directory

Preferred Requirements
•Server Virtualization with VMWare
•Experience managing VMware Infrastructure environments
•Hardware Platform (Windows/Wintel - Dell) skills
